#1 Men's Lacrosse Sweeps ECC Major Awards; 11 Named All-Conference

The East Coast Conference released the 2026 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference teams, with the Regular Season Champion Molloy Lions sweeping the league's major award winners of Offensive, Defensive, Goalkeeper, Rookie and Coach of the Year on top of receiving 11 All-Conference selections.

Senior Brian Green earned the league's Offensive Player of the Year, averaging 2.93 points per game. The midfielder, who was also named All-ECC First Team for the second-straight season, had registered a point in all 15 contests as a mainstay of the Lions' offensive unit. In those 15 contests, nine of them saw performances of three or more points. He tallied eight multi-goal games including a season-high four against both St. Thomas Aquinas and Mercy.

Senior Thomas Kofod lived up to the preseason expectations, earning the league's Defensive Player of the Year after being selected Preseason Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches back in Jaunary. The long stick midfielder enters the postseason ranked 16th in Division II with 2.25 caused turnovers per game, recording one in 11 of 12 contests including six with three or more. During the season, he became the program's all-time caused turnover record holder with 116 on his career. In addition to forcing turnovers, Kofod ranks second on the team with 44 ground balls, picking up at least one in each contest he's appeared in and eight games of three or more. In addition to the Defensive Player of the Year title, Kofod earned his fourth-straight All-ECC Second Team nod.

Senior John Basile had a standout season between the pipes for the Lions, being recognized as the ECC Goalkeeper of the Week on six different occasions. Basile enters the postseason ranked seventh in the nation in goals-against average (8.20), 16th in save percentage (.570), and 37th in saves per game (10.33), ranking in the top-four in the conference in all three categories. The senior appeared in net for almost every minute of the season, making double-digit saves in eight of 15. The senior also earned the All-ECC First Team selection.

Freshman Jaden Simick made an immediate impact in his first season with the Lions, helping him to earn the league's Rookie of the Year award as well as an All-ECC Second Team nod. The attacker ranked second in the league among freshmen with 36, including tallying 10 multi-goal games through his 15 appearances.

Rounding out major award winners is Bill Dunn, earning his sixth career Coach of the Year nod. Dunn, in his fifth season with the Lions, took home the award for the second-straight season. This season, Molloy won its first-ever Regular Season Championship, going a perfect 6-0 in ECC play to go with a 12-3 record. Under Dunn's leadership, Molloy led the ECC in nearly every statistical category including assists, assists per game, points, points per game, scoring defense, scoring margin, scoring offense, and win percentage. Molloy also ranks second in the nation in caused turnovers per game, eighth in scoring defense, and eighth in win percentage. The squad also appeared in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's national rankings in every week of the season, peaking at #11 the final two weeks of the regular season.

In total, Molloy had six selected All-ECC First Team. Joining Green and Basile were seniors Tommy Corcoran and Brandon Pazienza, sophomore Aiden Dinnigan, and junior Rocco Hogan.

Corcoran ranked third on the Lions with 41 points on 23 goals and 18 assists for his first All-Conference selection. Through 15 contests, he had a point in each one including 12 multi-point games and seven games of three or more points. He also picked up a ground ball in 13 of the 15 contests.

The senior ranks 14th in Division II in face-off win percentage and 19th in ground balls per game (6.27). During the season, the specialist etched his name in the top of the Molloy record books as the career face-off win and ground ball record holder. He's also added six points on five goals and an assist.

His caused turnover numbers rank 69th in the nation headed into the postseason. Along the way, the defender tallied a caused turnover in 13 of 15 contests and a ground ball in 14 of 15.
