Mulqueen continued to thrive in the clean-up spot for the Lions in a 3-1 week. The sophomore hit .529 and slugged 1.118 in a week that saw him collect home runs in three consecutive games and three multi-hit games. It began on Tuesday against Dominican when the right fielder connected for a home run enroute to a career-high five-rbi day while totaling three hits and two runs scored in Molloy's triumph. Friday afternoon at STAC, the Wantagh native hit another home run on his way to another five-RBI afternoon and tying a career-high four hits while scoring three times in the victory that clinched the ECC regular season title for the squad. The sophomore added his last home run of the week in game one Sunday afternoon with a two-run home in a two-hit day. On the week, Mulqueen totaled 12 RBI, nine hits, six runs, and three home runs.
Kiss improved to 6-1 Sunday at STAC, tossing six shutout innings and striking out two.
Taggart thrived in three starts this week for the Lions. The senior collected a two-RBI, three-run game Tuesday against Dominican before driving in a career-high five runs as part of a three-hit day in Molloy's victory on Friday at STAC that clinched the regular season title for the Lions. On the week, Taggart hit .500 and got on base at a .615 clip while totaling seven RBI, five hits, four runs, and two walks.
McGurk posted a .462 batting average, .538 slugging percentage, and a .462 on base percentage off six hits and four RBI this past week. At Pace, McGurk went 3-for-3 where she singled up the middle to drive in a run before hitting a bases-clearing double to drive in an additional three runs. The senior added an additional two hits in the doubleheader against St. Thomas Aquinas.
Sill was nearly perfect in Molloy's victory over STAC on Friday. The right-hander began the contest with four perfect innings on his way to seven innings of shutout baseball, allowing just one hit and striking out seven while facing just two above the minimum to pick up his sixth win of the campaign.
Bueno batted .500 this past week, with a .571 slugging percentage, and .462 on base percentage off seven hits, a walk, and three RBI. In the doubleheader at Pace, the freshman totaled four hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. Against St. Thomas Aquinas, Bueno added another three hits, driving in one run.
