Worcester, Mass. - The women's basketball team fell to the Greyhounds of Assumption University this afternoon from the Andrew Laska Gym, 63-45. The loss, the final non-conference contest in the campaign, sets Molloy at 8-14 on the season. Assumption improved to 16-5. 

How it Happened

• The game started evenly contested, finding the score tied three times, including a tip-in from senior Colleen McCullagh to make it 8-8 after five minutes of play.
• The home Greyhounds would pull ahead to the largest lead at the time by the end of the first quarter at six points, 17-11. 
• The Lions would not let them pull away in the second frame, coming within one point twice in the first four minutes with the help of five points from McCullagh and two from both senior Sophia Yearwood and freshman Sharmeela Ugbogbo.
• An 8-2 run from Assumption would put them ahead by eight points, a lead they would take into the halftime break.
• The Lions would outscore the Greyhounds in the third quarter, allowing just seven points. In the final five minutes of the frame, four points from Ugbogbo and three from Yearwood helped Molloy within three, 41-38, headed into the final 10 minutes. 
• The tables turned in the fourth quarter, however, with Molloy scoring just seven points. The Greyhounds closed the contest on a 10-0 run to seal the victory.

Top Performances

• McCullagh's 23 points led all players
• Ugbogbo pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and added eight points.
• Senior Rosa Rizzitelli led with six assists, adding seven rebounds and seven points.
• Yearwood also had seven points.
