The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its preseason All-American teams with two members of the Molloy baseball team earning recognition. Junior James Sill was selected to the Second Team and senior Sean Welsh was named to the Third Team.
 
An NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention nominee in 2025, Sill took the East Coast Conference by storm a season ago. The junior led all of Division II with a 1.52 ERA and finished third in the nation with a .89 WHIP in 2025 while finishing third in the East Coast Conference with five wins and 67 strikeouts through 59.1 innings of work. The Levittown native became the sixth All-American honoree in program history after earning while also garnering East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year, All-ECC First Team, and All-Region First team honors from D2CCA, NCBWA, and ABCA/Rawlings.
 
Welsh saw a breakout season in 2025, racking up a multitude of awards. The senior collected a Third Team All-American honor from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings, becoming one of three designated hitters in the nation to earn All-American. The designated hitter was named All-ECC First Team after topping the conference with 15 home runs and 62 RBI, setting single-season Molloy records. Hitting in the leadoff spot Welsh flaunted his speed, pacing the ECC with 73 runs scored and 29 stolen bases while hitting .338 alongside 72 hits. Other awards the East Meadow native collecting were All-Region First-Team nods from the NCBWA, D2CCA, and ABCA/Rawlings alongside the East Coast Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.
 
The awards did not stop there, as for his performances in the classroom netted him an Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American First Team selection. Welsh became the 15^th student-athlete in Molloy history to collect the award and the first in Molloy baseball program history. Welsh holds a 3.92 GPA and was the only member of the East Region to be named to the First Team and one of two student-athletes from the East Region to be named an All-American from CSC.

The Molloy baseball team who is receiving votes in the NCBWA national poll, begin the 2026 campaign Friday, February 13^th in Hampton, Virginia against No. 22/23 ranked Millersville.
