Winners of four of the last five East Coast Conference Championships, the Molloy baseball team was selected to finish first as voted by the coaches in the ECC Preseason Poll. Additionally, junior James Sill was named the league's Preseason Pitcher of the Year.
 
Sill made an immediate impact in his first season in Rockville Centre. The junior led all of Division II with a 1.52 ERA and finished third in the nation with a .89 WHIP in 2025 while finishing third in the East Coast Conference with five wins and 67 strikeouts through 59.1 innings of work. The Levittown native became the sixth All-American honoree in program history after earning NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention while also garnering East Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year, All-ECC First Team, and All-Region First team honors from D2CCA, NCBWA, and ABCA/Rawlings.
 
The cardinal and white totaled 36 points and collected all six first-place votes to sit atop the poll. Mercy was tabbed second with 27 points, 2025 runner-up Queens was selected third receiving 26 points, and Staten Island rounded out the playoff teams in fourth with 16 points. D'Youville and St. Thomas Aquinas rounded out the poll in fifth and sixth tallying 11 and 10 points, respectively.
 
Head Coach Joe Fucarino returns to the bench for his 21^st season as the skipper for the Lions. The squad returns five All-Conference performers from a season ago: Graduate student JC Kiss (2^nd), seniors Sean Serrano (2^nd), Sean Welsh (1^st), Sill (1^st), and sophomore Jayden Patel (2^nd). The cardinal and white bring back 21 members of the 2025 championship team alongside eight freshmen and three transfers.
 
Molloy begins its quest back to the crown Friday, February 13 in Hampton, Va. against 23^rd-ranked Millersville.
