Introducing Molloy:

• The Lions won its fourth East Coast Conference title in the last five seasons in 2025.
• This is Molloy's fifth appearance in the NCAA East Regional (2016, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025).
• The cardinal and white hold a 32-17 record on the campaign while finishing 15-5 in East Coast Conference play.
• Nine Lions earned All-Conference selections, including one major postseason award winner. Sophomore James Sill was named ECC Pitcher of the Year and First-Team honoree, graduate students Aidan Larkin and Ryan Hynes, senior Patrick Sanchez, and junior Sean Welsh joined Sill on the First Team.
• Seniors Nicholas Dagnello and JC Kiss, junior Sean Serrano, and freshman Jayden Patel were names to the league's Second Team.
• 22 members of the current squad enter the regional with prior East Regional experience.
• Entering the regional, Larkin paces the squad hitting .354 on the campaign alongside 70 hits. The graduate student was named the ECC Tournament Most Outstanding Player after hitting .800 over the course of three games driving in six and scoring five runs.
• The power and speed combination of Welsh has helped the Lions atop the lineup. Alongside starting in all 49 games, the junior paces the squad with 15 home runs, 58 RBI, 68 runs, five triples, and 29 stolen bases.
• Perhaps one of the hottest hitters in the lineup over the last month has been redshirt senior Matthew Gonchar. The second basemen comes into the regional after hitting .500 in the ECC tournament on the back of seven hits, five RBI, and five runs scored.
• Sanchez enters the regional hitting .324 totaling 58 hits while driving in 32 runs and swiping 15 bases. Alongside playing outstanding defense, the shortstop has provided protection throughout the heart of the order.
• Another hot bat comes from junior Jack Coogan. The outfielder his .600 in the ECC tournament totaling nine hits in three games and driving in five.
• On the mound, Molloy sports a 4.16 ERA which led the East Coast Conference and is second amongst the four teams in the East Regional Two Pod.
• The rotation is led by Hynes and Kiss who has totaled six wins apiece and Sill who has totaled five wins.
• Sill has tallied a 1.52 ERA this season ranking third in the nation while holding opponents to hitting .175 on the campaign.
• Hynes enters regional play picking up victories in five of his last six starts totaling 64 strikeouts to this point of the season.
• Out of the bullpen, the trio of redshirt junior Sean Mileti, sophomore Thomas Charlwood and Patel have seen major time all tallying over 20 innings of work. Patel leads the bullpen with five saves, Charlwood has closed the game on three occasions, and Mileti had totaled four wins providing the most experience out of the bullpen.

 
About the Field
#2 Wilmington:

• The Wildcats enter the NCAA East Regional 36-20 overall and finished 23-11 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play, finishing second in the South Division.
• Wilmington won its 10^th CACC Championship last week, defeating Felician, 20-3, and will be playing in its 11^th NCAA Regional and hosting it at Wilson Field for the second time.
• The Wildcats are led by four All-Conference selections: Tyler Pirrung, Nick Classie, Brandon Grygo and Dom Marotta.
• The offense is led by Grygo who took home CACC Rookie of the Year honors in 2024 and earned a Second Team selection this year. The outfielder paces the team with 80 hits, 62 runs, 17 doubles, six triples, nine home runs, and 56 RBI while stealing 21 bases. Grygo has also seen time on the mound, totaling 11 appearances and three starts totaling a 3-2 record alongside one save in 29 innings of work.
• Among qualified starters, the rotation is led by Xavier Cortez who has collected six wins through 68.1 innings and totaling a team-high 71 strikeouts.
• Marotta was named to the Second Team out of the bullpen. The senior made 24 appearances totaling 28 innings holding a 5-0 record while collecting a team-high three saves and sports a 1.88 ERA. 

#3 Felician:

• The Golden Falcons hold a 38-18 record coming into the tournament with a 28-8 CACC record. The 38 wins marked the most wins in program history.
• Felician ended the regular season as Co-Champions of the CACC North Division, falling to Wilmington in the CACC Championship game.
• The squad saw four All-Conference selections this season led by CACC Pitcher of the Year Max Weber. Haiden Walters, Jaxon Wall, and Chris Corchado joined Weber as All-Conference selections.
• A First-Team selection, Weber was dominant on the mound this season leading the rotation with a 2.97 ERA through 66.2 innings compiling a 9-2 record with 88 strikeouts while holding opponents to a .210 average.
• Walters appeared in a team-high 55 games and started in a team-high 54 contests. In 192 at bats, Walters hit .328 totaling a team-high six home runs and 54 RBI while swiping 15 bases. Wall comes into the tournament leading the squad with 70 hits in 41 games played alongside 36 stolen bases and a .407 average. His 40 RBI ranks second on the team while being one of four players with 11 doubles.
• Corchado sports a .362 average entering the weekend. In 174 at bats the first basemen tied for second with Walters with 63 hits and 11 doubles while driving in 36.
• Alongside Weber in the rotation, Sadier Vicioso has seen success totaling a 5-2 record in 11 starts. The sophomore left-hander is second on the team with 59 strikeouts in 63.1 innings of action.

#6 Pace:

• The Setters begin the NCAA East Regional with a 28-20 record and went 12-12 in Northeast-10 play.
• Pace captured its second NE10 title in the last three seasons last week, topping Southern New Hampshire, 9-3.
• The squad sported four members to All-Conference nods this season. Eric Santaella leads the way collected the Southwest Division Rookie Pitcher of the Year, while Vincent Civitella, Mason Baronian, and Andrew Heppner joined garnering All-Conference honors.
• Santaella leads the backend of the bullpen for the Setters. Entering the tournament with 33.2 innings in 17 appearances, the rookie holds a 4-0 record to go along with three saves holding opposing hitters to a .194 average.
• Civitella has been the ace for Pace all season leading the rotation. The left-hander has totaled a 6-2 record in 69.1 innings through 12 starts while striking out 82 and holding the opposition to hitting .216. The Setters hold the best team ERA (3.79) of all teams in the East Regional Two pod.
• Leading the lineup with a .312 average, 54 hits, and 11 stolen bases is Luke Rivara while Heppner tops the team in the power categories. The freshman leads the squad with 12 doubles, eight home runs and a .516 slugging percentage. 

Molloy's Road to the Regional

• The Lions went a perfect 3-0 in the East Coast Conference tournament to clinch the title.
• Molloy opened the tournament with a 14-6 win over fourth-seeded Queens (May. 8) in game two of the tournament. A seven-run first inning sparked the Lions as they batted around seeing 10 members of the lineup come to the plate.
• In Game Four, the cardinal and white faced third-seeded Mercy (May. 9) and came out triumphant, 5-4. Coogan delivered a key two-run single in the top of the ninth and Patel earned the save with the game-tying run on second base.
• In the ECC Title game, Lions rematched with Queens (May 10) and came away with a 17-9 victory to hoist the trophy. Gonchar, Larkin, and Dagnello totaled three RBI each while Srrano, Coogan, and junior Jeremy Taggart drove in two runs apiece.

Against the Field

• Molloy went 3-4 against the field in 2025.
• The Lions went 2-1 against Felician in an early season series that spanned from February 28 through March 1.
• The cardinal and white finished 1-3 against Pace just under a month ago in a series that went from April 17 into April 22.
• Molloy holds a 6-8 overall record against Wilmington, last playing the Wildcats February 25, 2023, earning a 6-0 triumph in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
