Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team picked up a 16-11 victory over D'Youville University this afternoon on Senior Day. The win marks the team's sixth-straight victory and improves the Lions to 7-8 on the season and 4-1 in East Coast Conference play. D'Youville now sits at 4-8 on the season and 1-3 in league play.
Prior to the start of the contest, the women's lacrosse program celebrated the careers of nine student-athletes that will be graduating in just a few short weeks. Those recognized were

Alessandra Borsellino (biology),
Reilly Brady (nursing),
Carly Howell (criminal justice),
Samantha King (nursing),
Isabella Klemm (nursing),
Sofia Quitoni (nursing),
Megan Rugolo (childhood & special education), and
Brenna Signorelli (biology).
How it Happened
- Molloy controlled the pace of play from the opening whistle and quickly led by four goals. Signorelli netted two in the first quarter paired with one from Borsellino and one from freshman Emma Ryan.
- The Saints got on the board following a goal from Sydney Gordon to end the quarter.
- Ryan and Quitoni both scored on the woman-up within two minutes of one another to make it a 6-1 lead.
- Madison Handley converted on a free position to stop the rally, but the Lions ended the half with six-straight goals, including three from Rugolo, one from Amorison, and one from sophomore Brooke Grossjung to make it 12-2.
- The Saints turned on the pressure in the third quarter, scoring the first four goals of the second half to come within six, 12-6.
- A goal from Amorison and free position marker from Rugolo made it 14-6 headed into the final 15 minutes of play.
- D'Youville made it a six-goal game again in the fourth quarter with a string of three-straight woman-up goals.
- Rugolo netted her fifth of the game to round out Molloy's scoring.

- Rugolo matched a season-high eight points on five goals and three assists while adding four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Amorison followed with five points.
- Signorelli (three goals), Borsellino (one goal, two assists), and Ryan (three goals) each added three points.
- A goal and assist gave two points to Quitoni.

- Signorelli picked up three ground balls and forced two turnovers.
