Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team was defeated by the 19th-ranked Chargers of the University of New Haven, 17-3. UNH improved to 2-1 in the victory while Molloy sat at 0-6 after the loss.

How it Happened

• The visitors cracked the scoreboard first with a goal from Helena Dunwoody. 
• Senior Brenna Signorelli responded just two minutes later, burying a pass from senior Alessandra Borsellino to knot the game at one.
• UNH closed out the first quarter with three more goals before kicking off the second frame with a man-up goal.
• Senior Megan Rugolo brought the Lions back within three with a goal of her own, but New Haven ended the first half with a run of four unanswered goals to make it 9-2
• A free position goal from senior Carly Howell with 7:04 left in the third quarter would make it 11-3, but the final six goals of the contest came off the sticks of Chargers.

Top Performances

• Signorelli, Howell and Rugolo's goals accounted for Molloy's offense with Borsellino added an assist.
• Borsellino topped the Lions with three ground balls with Howell, senior Reilly Brady, and freshman Emma Ryan each adding two.
• Howell and freshman Tiana Barone both had two forced turnovers.
• Brady and freshman Ryleigh Zamora each controlled three draws.
• Sophomore Nicole Schaumloffel made seven saves in net.
