#15 Men's Lacrosse Tops Chestnut Hill, 13-6

Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The #15 men's lacrosse team bested the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College this evening from the RVC Sports Complex, 13-6. The victory marks the first time topping Chestnut Hill since the 2018 season, snapping a six-game drought. Molloy improved to 6-1 on the campaign with the win while CHC fell to 1-3.

How it Happened
  • Senior Bryan Diliberto would strike first for the Lions, but the Griffins would counter just three minutes later to knot the score.
  • Junior Jake Taylor quickly regained the advantage for the home team with goal before back-to-back goals from Chestnut Hill put them ahead, 3-2.
  • Senior Mike D'Amato would find the back of the net in the final seconds of the opening quarter to even the score.
  • Taylor netted his second of the contest to open the second frame before three goals from junior Brian Green and one from senior Noah Taylor gave Molloy the 8-3 advantage at the break.
  • Junior Jaden McLeod buried a feed to kick things off in the third frame, but a goal from the visitors broke the streak of seven-straight from the Lions.
  • Jake Taylor's third of the contest closed the third quarter with Molloy ahead, 10-4.
  • Taylor would find the back of the net one final time in the fourth quarter along with goals from junior Tommy Corcoron and senior Luke Hickam to round out the scoring.

  • Jake Taylor led with four points on four goals to go with three ground balls.
  • Green's three goals followed along with three points on one goal and two assists from Hickam.
  • Corcoron tallied one goal and one assist.
  • Juniors Thomas Kofod and Justin Palulis each picked up assists.
  • Junior Brandon Pazienza went 10-of-14 on face-offs and led with nine ground balls.
  • Freshman Zachary Maligres did not miss at X on the evening, going 6-of-6 with four ground balls.
  • Junior Shawn McCabe and sophomore Rocco Hogan both added four ground balls while McCabe, Kofod, McLeod, and freshman Aiden Dinnigan all forced two turnovers.
  • Senior Christian Michaels made 12 saves in net.
