Diliberto Nets Career-High in Men's Lacrosse Win at Dominican

Orangeburg, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team had its second-straight definitive victory of 2025, topping the Chargers of Dominican University, 20-3. Molloy starts the season at 2-0 while Dominican is 0-1.

How it Happened
  • Junior Brandon Pazienza netted his seventh career goal off the opening face-off with an assist from senior Bryan Diliberto.
  • Diliberto would score one of his own to double Molloy's lead six minutes later.
  • Dominican's Nickolas Paletta put the Chargers on the board with 4:21 to play in the opening quarter, but back-to-back goals from juniors Jake Taylor and Tommy Corcoron put Molloy in front, 4-1.
  • Junior Brian Green scored to kick off a seven-goal run in the second quarter for the Lions, including one on man-up to make it 11-1.
  • The home team scored in the final seconds of the quarter to set the score at 11-2 at the half.
  • Diliberto netted his fourth goal of the contest to begin the third quarter, Senior Luke Hickam followed with back-to-back goals before sophomore Rocco Hogan and freshman Jacob Faison made it 16-2 headed into the final 15 minutes of play.
  • Dominican would strike first in the fourth frame, but the Lions closed out the game with four-straight goals to make it 20-3.
Top Performances
  • Diliberto set a career-high five goals and added two assists for a career-high seven points. The attacker also picked up three ground balls.
  • Green (one goal, two assists) and Hickam (three goals) followed with three points.
  • Faison, Hogan, and Taylor each scored twice while junior Justin Palulis dished out two assists.
  • Senior Ryan Polehinke, Pazienza, Corcoron, and freshmen Aydan DeLiso and Luke Barrera each found the back of the net once.
  • Junior Thomas Kofod topped the score sheet with five ground balls. Pazienza, who went 12-of-15 at the face-off dot, added four, while freshman Aiden Dinnigan picked up three.
  • Senior Shawn McCabe led with three caused turnovers while Dinnigan forced two.
  • Senior Christian Michaels made five stops in three quarters of action. Junior John Basile made seven in the final quarter of relief.
