Men's Lacrosse Opens Season With Statement Win Over SNHU

Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The 2025 season began on a high note for the men's lacrosse team, downing the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, 17-2, this afternoon from the RVC Sports Complex. Molloy opens the season 1-0 while SNHU dropped to 1-1.

How it Happened
  • Molloy would net the first six goals of the contest through nearly 23 minutes of play. The Lions saw four different goal scorers: juniors Brian Green, Tommy Corcoron, and Jaden McLeod paired with one from senior Bryan Diliberto.
  • SNHU got on the board in the final minutes of the first half, but Dilberto and junior Brandon Pazienza each added another goal in the final 30 seconds to set the score at 8-1 at the half.
  • Green netted his third of the afternoon to start the second half followed by back-to-back markers from senior Luke Hickam. Junior Justin Palulis buried a long pass from senior goalie Christian Michaels on man-down to make it 12-1 after 45 minutes of play.
  • Corcoron and McLeod each added goals with freshmen Sean Payton, Aydan DeLiso, and Jacob Faison each finding the back of the net in the final 15 minutes en route to the victory.
Top Performances
  • Green matched a career-high four points with three goals and an assist. Corcoron (three goals, one assist) and Hickam (two goals, two assists) each also added four points.
  • Diliberto and McLeod had two goals in the effort with the remaining markers coming from Palulis, Pazienza, Faison, Payton, and DeLiso.
  • Senior Michael McClain, sophomores Owen Taylor and Rocco Hogan, junior Jake Taylor, and Michaels each added assists.
  • Pazienza went a perfect 13-for-13 at the face-off dot for the first time in his career while adding a team-leading 10 ground balls.
  • Hogan picked up five while freshman Aiden Dinnigan added four to go with a team-leading three caused turnovers.
  • Freshman Zachary Maligres went 6-of-7 at face-offs and added three ground balls. Junior Thomas Kofod and freshman Liam Taylor each also added three ground balls.
  • Michaels made 12 stops in net while junior John Basile made six.
