Caldwell, N.J. - The women's basketball team fell to the Cougars of Caldwell, 63-32 from Newman Center. 

How it Happened

• The Lions scored the first four points of the game, a layup from senior Colleen McCullagh and a pair of foul shots from senior Rosa Rizzitelli, to lead 4-0. 
• From there, however, the quarter belonged to the Cougars as the Lions would not sink another field goal until the second quarter. 
• Molloy trailed 16-4 through the first 12 minutes before a three-pointer from sophomore Emma Poland, a layup from senior Sophia Yearwood, and foul shots from freshman Kaitlyn Paulino Rosario made it 16-15 midway through.
• The half ended on a 12-3 run from the Cougars to end the half ahead 30-16. 
• Another trey from Yearwood would bring the Lions within single digits early in the third frame, but Caldwell maintained a double digit lead for nearly the entirety of the second half. 

Top Performances

• Yearwood led with 11 points, going 4-of-8 from the field, and added four rebounds and two blocks. 
• McCullagh's six boards topped the team, adding six points, two blocks, and two steals. 
• Sophomore Iris Hoffman led with four assists while sophomore Jamie Davneiro added three and added two steals and five boards. 
• Paulino Rosario and Poland each added five points with Poland adding five boards.
