Uniondale, N.Y. - The 2025 sprint football season came to an end this evening with a 56-13 loss to Mansfield from Mitchel Field. 

Before the game, the program honored the two members of its senior class: John Zarnowski and David DiGiovanni in a senior night ceremony.

How it Happened

• Mansfield led 7-0 after the first quarter of play, scoring on a two-yard rushing touchdown from Damian Hudson. 
• The Mountaineers added a 62-yard touchdown pass and a nine-yard touchdown run to make it 21-0 midway through the second frame.
• Two rushes for Paulie Drummond V paired with completed passes to Jalen Gordon helped set up a 39-yard touchdown pass to Peter von Schoenermarck to put the Lions on the board.
• The visitors added another touchdown before the halftime break to make it 29-7.
• Molloy was shutout in the third quarter, but scored on a pick-six from D'Angelo Cabrera late in the the fourth quarter to round out the scoring.

Top Performances

• Drummond went 17-for-28 with a touchdown pass and added 35 rushing yards.
• Louis Roca (2--for-2) and Wilbert Spell (1-for-1) both saw time under center and combined for 20 rushing yards.
• DiGiovanni led Molloy's run game with 43 yards. 
• von Schoenermarck topped the Lions with 80 receiving yards, including the touchdown, followed by 62 yards from Gordon.
• Anthony DiSalvo led the defense with nine tackles. Marquis Dixon and Ayden Das both had eight followed by seven from Anthony Stanco. Stanco added a sack.
• Chris Perrone recorded a pass break-up while Cabrera grabbed two interceptions.
