Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Tops Dominican, 4-0

Orangeburg, N.Y. - The women's soccer team picked up its 10th victory of the season this afternoon with a 4-0 victory over Dominican University of New York from O'Brien Field. The win saw Molloy improve to 10-2-4 on the season while Dominican dropped to 4-8-3. 

How it Happened
  • Goalkeeper Elyse Munoz was challenged early, making a save in the sixth minute of play.
  • From there, the offense seemed to belong to the Lions. 
  • Molloy drew back-to-back corners in the final minutes of the first half. Madison Keenan headed in the feed from Bella Juliano to put the Lions on the board, 1-0. 
  • The pressure continued into the second half with Molloy taking four shots in the opening 10 minutes. 
  • Emma Beattie passed from 15 yards out where Madison Falkowski was waiting in the box, leading to the sophomore's third career goal.
  • The score would stand until the final 15 minutes of play, where Juliano sent a free kick from outside of the box past the Chargers' goalkeeper Stella Paton to make it 3-0.
  • Molloy's final tally came in the 86th minute off the foot of Olivia Ingenito, banking it off the post and in following a  feed from Gianna Zawol.
Top Performances
  • Ingenito led with seven shots, five of which were on goal, and scored.
  • Both Keenan and Juliano had one goal on one shot. 
  • Juliano added an assist for a career-high three points.
  • Falkowski and Jana Strait both fired three shots while Zawol, Angelina Rodriguez, Rebecca Petrellese, and Mikaela Barriga all had two.
  • Munoz made two stops in net.
Up Next
While the Lions wait for the East Coast Conference regular season to play out to determine the seeding for the tournament, the team will end the regular season in a non-league match at Southern Connecticut State on Friday (Oct. 31) at 4:00 p.m.
