Staten Island, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island, 74-46, Wednesday evening at the Sports and Recreation Center. The Lions move to 9-9 overall and 3-4 in East Coast Conference play, while the Dolphins improve to 12-7 overall and 6-1 in league play.

- Junior Rosa Rizzitelli scored the contests first bucket 2:14 into the game to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.
- For the rest of the opening stanza, the Dolphins outscored the Lions 21-4, holding the opponent to one field goal to take a 21-6 lead into the second quarter.
- After Staten Island extended its lead to 21 in the first three minutes of the second frame, the Lions put together a 9-0 run highlighted by seven points from senior Janel Moore to bring Molloy within 12, 29-17.
- The home team concluded the second quarter on a 6-0 rally to take a 35-17 lead heading into halftime.
- The cardinal and white would cut the deficit to 14 in the third quarter, but that is as close as they would come as the Dolphins would go on and take the victory, 74-46.
