Middlebury, Conn.- The tennis team was swept by Post University this afternoon, dropping to 0-6 (0-2 ECC) on the season, while the Eagles improved to 1-5.

Erin Sanchez pushing their match to a tiebreaker, narrowly falling to Megan Lombardt and Julie Merlin 9-7 at the top spot. In the second spot, sophomores
Alice Fartushynska and
Isabella Fortaleza battled hard but came up short, 6-4.
In singles play, freshman
Erin Sanchez came out strong, winning the first set 6-4 before ultimately falling in a tough three-set match, 6-4, 10-4. Both Fortaleza and freshman
Ashley Bonilla claimed sets in their respective matches.
The Lions are back on the road as they head to Patchogue, N.Y. to play St. Joseph's University on Tuesday (Sept. 24) at 5:00 p.m.
