West Hempstead, N.Y.- The women's tennis team dropped their match this afternoon to the 2-0 Chargers, bringing their season record to 0-3.
In doubles play, senior
Elena Baughman Saunders and freshman
Erin Sanchez led the Lions with a solid effort in the top spot, winning two games but ultimately falling 6-2 to Valentinna Ferrarini and Karim Carreras.The pairs of sophomores
Alice Fartushynska and
Isabella Fortaleza and freshman
Ashley Bonilla and sophomore
Julia Salazar both fell 6-1 in their respective matches.
On the singles side, Sanchez and  Fartushynska each won games within their sets, with Sanchez winning games in both sets but falling 6-2, 6-2.
The team will play their fourth-straight home game on Wednesday (Sept. 18) where they will host Dominican University of New York at 4:00 p.m. in West Hempstead, N.Y.
