Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The softball team swept the D'Youville Saints in an East Coast Conference match-up this afternoon, 9-6 and 13-5. The Lions improve to 15-13 (3-1 ECC) and the Saints fall to 6-22 (1- 7 ECC).
The softball team dedicated today's contest to Morgan's Message, which strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community, and celebrated Officials' Recognition Week for the service our dedicated umpiring crew.

Game One: Molloy 9, D'Youville 6
How it Happened
- In the bottom of the first inning, graduate student Alex Burns got the Lions on the board with a double to right field, scoring fellow graduate student Steph Conrade.
- A lead off double from Mia Trietley set the stage for a game-tying single from Isabella Mancino in the top of the second.
- Singles from senior Chrissie Huhn, Conrade, and Burns put Molloy ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the third.Â
- Conrade capitalized on an error during a first and third situation to add another run before junior Cheralyn Dusharme made it 4-1 with a sacrifice fly.Â
- The visiting team narrowed the gap with a lead-off home run in the top of the fourth from Lauren Booth.
- Dabbadie's triple to right field followed by Dusharme's single through the right side reinstated the Lions' three-run lead after five innings.
- Booth hit her second homer of the contest in the sixth inning, this time a two-run shot, to bring the Saints within one,5-4.
- A lead off single from senior Katie Hand followed by a double from junior Natalie Moussa allowed a single up the middle from sophomore Mae Savage to plate two runs.Â
- A triple from Huhn and a single from Conrade both scored runs to make it 9-4.
- The Saints threatened to tie the game in the top of the seventh as Gianna Adamo and Halie Furkas both singled in runs.Â
- With two outs and bases loaded, Conrade clinched the victory with a catch of a deep fly ball at the center field fence.Â

How it Happened
- Huhn led off the first inning with a walk and a stolen base, advancing to third on a ground out from Conrade.
- An infield single from Burns plated the short stop for the first run of the game.
- The Lions sent 10 batters to the plate in the third inning, scoring five runs on five hits.Â
- With Huhn and Conrade once again on base for Burns, the left fielder sent a single up the middle to make it 2-0.Â
- Dabbadie doubled the lead to 4-0 with a bases-clearing double before scoring on a wild pitch.
- Savage capped the scoring for the inning with a right field single, scoring junior Cheralyn Dusharme.Â
- In the top of the fourth, subsequent singles brought in two runs for the Saints.
- In the home half of the inning, both Huhn and Conrade once again reached base to allow an RBI single from Burns to make it 7-2.Â
- A walk to Conrade and a single to third base from Burns scored another run for the Lions.
- D'Youville once again made it a game late, coming within two, 7-5, in the sixth inning on four hits and an error.
- The Lions' bats went right back to work in the bottom of the sixth inning with back-to-back infield singles from Huhn and Conrade before another bases-clearing double from Dabbadie to make it 10-5.
- Hand reached on a field error before Savage singled to right field to add another run.
- McGurk reached on a fielder's choice and stole second to put herself in scoring position for freshman Amaya Page's pinch hit walk-off single, ending the game via the run rule.Â

- Huhn tied a program single-game record with four stolen bases, swiping a bag each of her four times on base.
