Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team held a lead over Roberts Wesleyan University through 55 minutes of play, but three unanswered goals in the final minutes allowed the visiting Redhawks the 17-16 victory this afternoon at the Rockville Centre Sports Complex. The loss sets the Lions at 6-8 on the season and 2-3 in East Coast Conference play while Roberts Wesleyan improves to 8-5 (2-2 ECC).

How it Happened
- Delaney netted two goals in the first four minutes of play. Juniors Noah Taylor and Tommy Corcoron would also find the back of the net for the Lions, who opened the first quarter with a 5-4 advantage.
- Redshirt freshman Brian Green kicked things off in the second quarter with an unassisted goal, giving Molloy a two-goal lead.
- The teams continued to exchange goals, but goals from Rodin and Delaney helped keep the home team's advantage, ending the half in front, 11-8.
- Back-and-forth scoring continued into the third frame, until four-straight goals from the Redhawks knotted the score at 13 headed into the final 15 minutes of play.
- Delaney and senior Jack Herzlinger both netted unassisted markers in the opening five minutes of the fourth quarter, giving Molloy a 15-13 lead.
- The Redhawks would score just seven seconds later, however, to stay within striking distance.
- Sophomore Justin Palulis finished a feed from Taylor to regain the two-goal advantage with just under 10 minutes remaining, but the final three goals came off sticks of the Redhawks, giving the road team a 17-16 lead with 4:28 left to play.
- Molloy had a chance to tie it with a shot from Corcoron headed into the final minute, but Garrett Kayser picked up a critical save to clinch the win for Roberts Wesleyan.

- Taylor led with five points on a career-high four assists to go with one goal.
- Green netted his first hat trick of his career with three goals, adding one assist.
- Delaney's four goals got him to the 100 career mark.
- Rodin (two goals, one assist) and Corcoron (three goals) added three points while sophomore Konrad Maciejny had two (one goal, one assist).
- Sophomore Brandon Pazienza went 17-of-24 on face-offs, leading with 11 ground balls.
- Junior Adam Hyman had three ground balls while forcing a season-high two turnovers.
- Junior Christian Michaels made 11 saves in net for the Lions.
