Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The softball team added two more East Coast Conference wins in today's doubleheader against Mercy University, 5-2 and 4-2. The Lions improve to 19-15 (7-1 ECC) in the victories and the Mavericks fall to 9-19 (3-7 ECC) with the losses.

Game One: Molloy 5, Mercy 2
How it Happened
- Graduate student Steph Conrade got things started for the home team with a single to the pitcher in the bottom of the first inning.
- Fellow graduate student Alex Burns homered to left field to give the Lions an early 2-0 lead.
- Senior Katie Hand hit a lead-off home run to left field in the bottom of the second inning, putting Molloy ahead by three.
- Senior Chrissie Huhn doubled to right field to start the bottom of the third, and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Conrade.
- After a walk to Burns put runners on the corners, freshman Stevie Dabbadie increased the lead to 4-0 with a double to left center.
- Nicole Smart's solo home run put the Mercy on the scoreboard in the top of the fourth.
- A triple to left center from Dylan Reyer followed by a single through the right side from Shannon Sisco for the Mavericks cut the deficit in half in the top of the fifth inning.
- A fielding error, a stolen base, and a single put runners on first and third for junior Cheralyn Dusharme, who added an insurance run for the Lions with a single.
- Freshman Sophia Mariottini struck out one batter in both the sixth and seventh innings before a double play ball secured the win.

Game Two: Molloy 4, Mercy 2
How it Happened
- Molloy wasted no time in game two with Conrade singling to right field and stealing second to position herself to score in the bottom of the first.
- Dabbadie hit her first collegiate home run to left field to give the Lions a quick two run lead.
- Conrade set the tone once more in the home half of the third inning with a single to first base and another stolen base.
- Burns furthered Molloy's lead with her second home run of the day, doubling the lead to 4-0.
- Nicole Smart answered in the top of the fourth inning with a homer to left field.
- Three singles in the top of the fifth brought the Mavericks within two.
- Junior Natalie Moussa came in for relief and limited Mercy to three hits in the remaining 2.2 innings, striking out two batters in the effort.
Top Performances
- Dabbadie pitched 4.1 innings, striking out four batters to improve to a 4-4 record.
- Moussa recorded her first collegiate save.
