Staten Island, N.Y.- The softball team completed a doubleheader sweep on the road against the College of Staten Island this afternoon, 4-3 and 7-2. The Lions improved to 17-15 (5-1 East Coast Conference), and the Dolphins fell to 11-23 (3-7 ECC).

Game One: Molloy 4, Staten Island 3
How it Happened
- The Lions' bats got right to work with three doubles from senior Chrissie Huhn, graduate student Steph Conrade, and freshman Stevie Dabbadie, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead.
- Junior Cher Dusharme and senior Katie Hand contributed timely singles, extending the visiting teams' lead to 3-0.
- Mariah Carcano led off the bottom of the third inning with a bunt single down the left field line, followed by a home run down the left field line from Aileen Balderas to bring the Dolphins within one.
- A pair of singles followed for the home team, evening the score at three.
- Dabbadie started the top of the fifth inning with a lead-off to right field and was plated by what would become a game-winning single from Dusharme
- Mariottini held the home team to just three hits in the last three innings to secure the win.

- Dabbadie went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBI.
- Dusharme led three hits and drove in a run.

Game Two: Molloy 7, Staten Island 2
How it Happened
- Conrade kick-started the home half of the first inning with a single and advanced to scoring position with a stolen base.
- Graduate student Alex Burns doubled to center field to plate Conrade and put Molloy on the board.
- A pair of singles and a walk for the Dolphins leveled the game at one in the bottom of the first inning.
- Singles from junior Natalie Moussa, and sophomore Mae Savage put runners on second and third for Huhn, who gave the Lions a 3-1 lead with a bases-clearing single.
- A sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third narrowed the gap, putting Staten Island within one.
- Graduate student Emma Bachman's triple to right field set the table for an RBI double for Huhn, making it a 4-2 game in the top of the fourth.
- The Lions' offense continued to work in the top of the fifth, starting with a double to left center for Dabbadie. A hit by pitch and a single loaded the bases for a pinch hitter in freshman Amaya Page, who drove in a run with a single up the middle.
- Bachman added another run with a bases-loaded ground out.
- A lead-off single from Dusharme followed by double to left center from Savage rounded out the scoring 7-2 in the top of the seventh.
Top Performances
- Huhn led with three RBI, going 2-for-4 with a double.
- Savage topped the team with three hits, driving in one run.
- Conrade and Moussa each tallied two hits with Conrade adding two stolen bases.
- Moussa tossed a season-high 6.2 innings in relief, strining out four batters to improve to 4-1 on the season.
