Rockville Centre, N.Y.- The softball team secured a doubleheader sweep against the Lions of Georgian Court University this afternoon, claiming an 8-0 win in game one before coming back to win game two, 4-3. Both teams sit at 9-13 after the doubleheader.

Game One: Molloy 8, Georgian Court 0 (6 Innings)
How it Happened
- Sophomore Mae Savage ignited a rally in the bottom of the third inning with a lead off single to the shortstop.
- Junior Katie Hand reached on a throwing error, advancing Savage to third.
- Graduate student Emma Bachman drove in the first run of the contest with a ground out to third, bringing home Savage and putting Hand in scoring position.
- A double from senior Chrissie Huhn and a single from graduate student Steph Conrade put Molloy at 3-0.
- Graduate student Alex Burns hit her third home run of the season, extending the home Lions' lead to 5-0 after three innings.
- The team's combined for three hits through the next two and a half innings, until a fielding error, single, and walk loaded the bases for Molloy in the bottom of the sixth.
- Huhn's sent a bases-clearing triple to the right field fence, forcing the contest to end via the run rule.
Top Performances
- Mariottini struck out five batters through six innings in her second shutout, improving to 4-6 on the season. The freshman also recorded her first collegiate hit in the contest.
- Huhn led the team with four RBI, going 2-for-4 with a double and a triple.
- Burns, Huhn, and Savage each delivered a two-hit performance with Burns putting up a home run and swiping a bag.

Game Two: Molloy 4, Georgian Court 3
How it Happened
- The visiting Lions wasted no time in game two, taking a 2-0 lead off of four hits in the top of the first inning.
- Huhn was hit by a pitch to start the contest before Conrade legged out an infield single. A pair of stolen bases put both runners in scoring position for Burns, who tied the contest with a double up the middle.
- Before the inning would end, junior Cheralyn Dusharme doubled to right center to bring home Burns and put Molloy ahead 3-2.
- Brittany Gable doubled to right field to start the top of the fourth inning before eventually scoring on a passed ball to level the score at three.
- Huhn started the bottom of the fifth inning with a bunt single and a stolen base.
- Conrade's ground out to the pitcher advanced Huhn to third and allowed her to score on a single through the left side from freshman Stevie Dabbadie to make it 4-3 in favor of Molloy.
- Junior Natalie Moussa allowed just two more hits in the final two innings to hang on for the win.Â
