Manchester, N.H. - The men's lacrosse team fell to the Hawks of Saint Anselm College this afternoon, 16-5, from Grappone Stadium. Molloy sits at 1-2 on the season after the loss while Saint A's begins the 2024 campaign 1-0. 

How it Happened

• The Hawks would score in the opening minute of play, but redshirt freshman Brian Green would knot the score less than two minutes later. 
• Junior Noah Taylor forced a turnover and assisted on a goal from junior Bryan Diliberto to give Molloy a 2-1 lead.
• St. Anselm would net two quick markers in the final three minutes of play, but the Lions tied it on a goal from sophomore Konrad Maciejny to end the first quarter.
• The second and third quarters would belong entirely to the Hawks, scoring 10 unanswered goals.
• Freshman Michael McClain would score to open the fourth quarter. Senior Mikey Rodin would round out Molloy's scoring with a goal in the final two minutes.

Top Performances

• Green led with three points on one goal and two assists.
• Diliberto had a goal and an assist in the effort for two points.
• Maciejny, Rodin, and McClain each found the back of the net once while Taylor and senior Jack Herzlinger each added assists.
• Sophomore Eric Schiller led with two caused turnovers.
• Sophomore James Franz and junior Patrick Dempsey each picked up two ground balls. 
• Junior Christian Michaels made 15 saves in net.
