Wilmington, Del. - The volleyball team fell to the Tigers of Holy Family University in three sets this evening in the team's first game at the Wildcat Regional Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University. Molloy sits at 1-3 with the loss while HFU improves to 2-3 in the victory.

How it Happened
- The score would be tied nine times throughout the first set.
- Trailing 19-15, a kill and service ace from junior Roberta Monticelli and a kill from junior Alex Brown brought the Lions within one.
- Two kills from senior Kiarra Roth and one from graduate student Mariana Donado Yepes helped to tie the score, 21-21.
- Ultimately, however, the final four points of the set would go in favor of the Tigers.
- Molloy struggled to attack effectively in the second set, hitting at just a .028 clip that included three kills from senior Colleen Moulder.
- A five-point run early in the final set made the score 9-5 in favor of Holy Family. While the Lions would come within three on five different occasions, they were unable to overcome the early deficit.
Top Performances
- Roth led the Lions with 12 kills and narrowly missed a double-double with nine digs. It is the outside hitter's fourth-straight contest in double digit kills.
- Moulder added seven kills and three blocks.
- Donado Yepes put up 29 assists and four digs.
- Brown had seven digs and three kills.
