Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - The field hockey team dropped a 5-1 contest to Mercy University this afternoon at Mercy Field. The Lions' record falls to 0-5 (0-3 Northeast-10) while Mercy improved to 3-2 (2-0 NE10).

How it Happened

• The Mavericks opened the scoring in the sixth minute, taking an early 1-0 lead.
• Sophomore Gianna Mastrocco answered for Molloy with a goal four minutes later to put Molloy on the board and even the score.
• Kelly Rosenfeld found the back of the net for Mercy early in the second quarter, but five saves from junior Kelsey Price helped to hold the Lions to just a one goal deficit at the half.
• The home team scored twice in the third quarter to go in front 4-1.
• Mercy rounded out the scoring in the final four minutes.

Top Performances

• Sophomore Lizzy Hedgecock made a career-high three defensive saves in the effort.
• Junoir Devin Harkins led with three shots.
• Price made 13 saves, including eight in the third quarter alone.
