How it Happened
	- Junior Kelly Bergersen got Molloy on the board quickly in the first quarter, scoring just 54 seconds into the game. Mercy then responded with four unanswered goals before sophomore Megan Rugolo found the back of the net to cut the deficit to two at the end of the first quarter.
- The Mavericks scored three of the first four goals to start the second quarter and a Leena Moussa goal with two minutes left in the half gave Mercy a 9-4 lead. Junior Amanda Weber then scored right off the draw control to make it a 9-5 deficit going into the half.

However, the Mavericks tallied two more goals soon after and the teams remained scoreless over the final 7:22 of the third quarter to keep it 11-7 Mercy going into the final frame.
