Greensburg, Pa. - The men's lacrosse team was downed by #18 Seton Hill University, 11-4, this afternoon at DSG Field. Molloy fell to 6-4 on the season while Seton Hill improved to 5-3. The contest was one of the determinng games for the annual ECC/GMAC Cup, a competition in men's lacrosse between the East Coast Conference and Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
How it Happened
- Molloy was kept off the board in the first half, recording two shots on goal in the first 30 minutes of play and trailed 5-0 at the break.
- Sophomore goalie Christian Michaels made five saves in the second quarter to keep the squad within five.
- The Lions snapped a six goal streak when senior Ryan Downing put Molloy on the scoreboard off a pass from senior Chris Delaney.
- The visitors would add a second goal in the third frame from the stick of senior Scott Capicchioni to make it 7-2.
- Molloy netted the first two goals of the fourth quarter from Delaney and junior Mikey Rodin to come within five, 9-4, but the Griffins would score twice in the final six minutes to take the 11-4 victory.

- Downing and Delaney each tallied two points on one goal and one assist.
- Junior Bryan Diliberto added an assist.
- Junior Brendan McDonough topped the Lions with four ground balls while Michaels, senior Sean Plasencia, and freshman Thomas Kofod each added two.
- Kofod, Plasencia, and graduate student Jordan Arbouet each forced two turnovers.
- Michaels made 11 stops in net in 45 minutes of work. Junior James Kahn made two in the final quarter of relief.
