Sparkill, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team made it five-straight wins this afternoon, topping the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College, 23-2, this afternoon from Spartan Field to kick of East Coast Conference play. The Lions improved to 5-3 on the season while STAC fell to 1-7.

How it Happened

• Molly scored five goals in the first quarter, including three in a row from sophomore Megan Rugolo for her third hat trick in as many games. 
• The Spartans put two on the board in the second frame to trail 12-2 at the halftime break.
• Junior Jamie Maddaluno also tallied a hat trick in one quarter, scoring three in the final 14 minutes, including one on the man-down, to help the Lions to the 23-2 victory.

Top Performances

• Rugolo led with a career-high seven points on three goals and four assists to go with a team-leading seven ground balls. 
• Maddaluno netted a career-high four goals and added two assists for a career-high six points.
• Mauceri dished out an assist to go with her three goals for four points and four ground balls. 
• Junior Amanda Weber tallied three goals while sophomore Brenna Signorelli and junior Hailey Dazzo each had two. 
• Sophomores Alexa Amorison, and Sofia Quitoni, juniors Kelly Bergersen, Brooke DiFede, Erin Murphy, and senior Alyssa Licata each scored one goal with Amorison and junior Jessica Kofod adding assists.
• Junior Ryan Smith led with three caused turnovers while picking up four ground balls.
• Junior Mary-Kate Sweeney made five saves in net.
