Sparkill, N.Y. - The women's lacrosse team made it five-straight wins this afternoon, topping the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College, 23-2, this afternoon from Spartan Field to kick of East Coast Conference play. The Lions improved to 5-3 on the season while STAC fell to 1-7.
How it Happened
- Molly scored five goals in the first quarter, including three in a row from sophomore Megan Rugolo for her third hat trick in as many games.
- The Spartans put two on the board in the second frame to trail 12-2 at the halftime break.
- Junior Jamie Maddaluno also tallied a hat trick in one quarter, scoring three in the final 14 minutes, including one on the man-down, to help the Lions to the 23-2 victory.
