Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Wildcats of Daemen University, 60-45, Friday evening inside Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions move to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in East Coast Conference play, while the Wildcats improve to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in league play.

How it Happened
	- After Daemen opened the contest on a 5-1 run, graduate student Isabel Sanchez hit a hook shot to bring Molloy within two, 5-3, with 6:26 left in the first.
- The Wildcats concluded the opening stanza on a 9-2 rally, holding the Lions to one field goal to take a 14-5 advantage into the second quarter.
- Sophomore Sophia Yearwood opened the second stanza with a three-point basket to cut the deficit to six, 14-8.
- Yearwood would hit a second three-point shot and Sanchez nailed a jumper to shrink the Wildcat lead to three, 16-13, with 5:51 remaining in the first half.
- Daemen finished the half on a second 9-2 rally to open up a 25-15 lead heading into halftime.
- The road team came out of the locker room red hot from the field, shooting five-of-six from the floor and three-of-three from down town to cling to a 16-0 run to take a commanding, 41-15, lead four minutes into the third quarter.
- The Lions were able to halt the run, with a mini 7-0 run of its own with baskets from sophomores Brianna James and Colleen McCullagh and senior Trinity Hudson to come within 19, 41-22.
- The Wildcats led, 45-26, after three quarters of action.
- A 6-0 run from the cardinal and white 2:17 into the final stanza would cut the lead down to 13, but that is as close as they would come as Daemen would go on and seal the victory, 60-45.
