Manchester, N.H. - The men's basketball team was defeated by the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University, 81-53. Molloy drops to 1-11 with the loss while SNHU improves to 8-2 with the victory.

How it Happened

• Field goals from graduate student Bobby Connors and junior Terence Crowley helped Molloy to a 6-3 lead to start the contest.
• SNHU netted 21 of the next 23 points to lead 24-8 halfway through the first half.
• Molloy responded with an eight-point run to come within eight, 24-16, with 4:24 on the clock.
• The home team's lead would increase to 14, but a layup at the buzzer from Connors set the score at 32-20 at the break.
• The Penmen's advantage would increase to as many as 30 points in the second half before time expired.

Top Performances

• Freshman Rob Matos tallied 13 points to lead the offense. 
• Connors also reached double digits at 11 points.
• Junior Matt Lane pulled down a team-leading nine boards and added seven points.
• Lane and freshman Bryce Merchant each had two blocks while freshman Manu Alford and redshirt sophomore Sey Dieng had two steals.
