Rockville Centre, N.Y. - The women's tennis team opened East Coast Conference play with 7-0 losses to both Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Friday (Oct. 6) and Queens College on Saturday (Oct. 7). Molloy sits at 0-5 on the season.
Against the Spartans, senior
Noor Goyvaerts played to her second-straight tiebreaking set, responding after falling behind 6-0 to a 6-4 win in the second set. The effort would not be enough as the Belgium native lost 10-7 in the tiebreaker.

Camilla Caballero Abreu and freshman
Isabella Fortaleza also won games within their sets against STAC.
At Queens, Fortaleza led Molloy in winning four games in her match at fifth-singles.Â
The Lions begin a three-game home series on Friday (Oct. 13) against Daemen University. The match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. from Point Set Indoor Racquet Club in Oceanside, N.Y.
