Staten Island, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team fell to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island, 58-41, inside The Sports & Recreation Center. The Lions move to 3-13 overall and 2-5 in East Coast Conference play, while the Dolphins improve to 6-11 overall and 2-5 in league play.
 
How it Happened
	- A foul shot from junior Trinity Hudson and a jumper from freshman Brianna James had the game all-square at three 1:43 into the contest.
 
	- CSI closed the first quarter outscoring the Lions 11-5 to take a, 14-8, lead going into the second quarter.
 
	- Graduate student Nora Gabel netted a three and freshman Sophia Yearwood drained a jumper to cut the deficit to three, 16-13, to kick off the second stanza.
 
	- After the Dolphins took a 18-13 lead, Molloy closed the quarter on a 6-2 rally to go into half down, 20-19.
 
	- The home team started the third quarter on a 9-4 run while shooting 66 percent from the floor to take a 29-23 lead with 4:35 remaining.
 
	- Following a jump shot from James, the Dolphins closed the quarter on a 15-4 rally shooting 86 percent from the field. Molloy trailed, 44-29, heading into the fourth quarter.
 
	- In the final stanza, back-to-back baskets from sophomore Samantha Muller and freshman Casey Campo brought the Lions within 11, 50-39, but that is as close as they would come, as the Dolphins held the Lions to 25 percent shooting to solidify the victory, 58-41.
 
Top Performances
	- Muller and James paced the team with eight points apiece.
 
	- Hudson tied a season-high grabbing 15 rebounds.
