Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's lacrosse team topped the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks, 9-8, in double overtime Saturday afternoon on senior day at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions finished the regular season 7-9 overall and 4-2 in ECC play, while the Redhawks moved to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in league play.
How it Happened
- Graduate students Jack Egan and Nick Del Giorno netted goals to put Molloy ahead 2-0.
- The Redhawks scored the next three and led 3-2 at the end of the first frame.
- Sophomore Chris Delaney, junior Ryan Downing, and sophomore Adam Hyman found the back of the net to give the Lions a 5-3 advantage.
- The home team led 5-4 at the break.
- Egan and Hyman scored two of the first three goals of the third quarter to make it 7-5.

- Freshman Bryan Diliberto (two assists), Egan (two goals), Hyman (two goals), and Del Giorno (one goal and one assist) tallied two points each.
- Graduate student Sean Daly caused two turnovers and picked up three ground balls.
- Michaels made 24 saves, which tied the program's single-game record set against Southern New Hampshire.
