Frostburg, Md. – The third-seeded Molloy men's lacrosse team fell to the second-seeded Frostburg Bobcats, 21-6, in the ECC Semifinal Wednesday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium. The Lions finished the season 7-10.
How it Happened
- Graduate student Nick Del Giorno opened the scoring 58 seconds into the game to make it 1-0. .
- Frostburg led 2-1 at the end of the first frame.
- The Bobcats outscored the Lions 10-0 in the second stanza and led 12-1 at the half.
- The home team outscored the maroon and white 9-5 in the second half.
Top Performances
- Junior Ryan Downing led the team with three points (one goal and two assists).
- Freshman Ryan Polehinke (one goal and one assist) and Del Giorno (two goals) tallied two points each.
- Senior Jordan Arbouet caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls.
- Freshman Christian Michaels made 16 saves.
