Buffalo, N.Y. – The Molloy softball team fell to the D'Youville Saints, 2-1 and 4-1, Friday afternoon. The Lions moved to 22-29 overall and 10-12 in ECC play, while the Saints improved to 24-12 overall and 13-9 in conference play.
Game One: Molloy 1, D'Youville 2 F/10
- The game was scoreless until the eighth inning. Junior Karsyn Eaton hit an RBI single to right field to put Molloy ahead 1-0.
- The Saints tied the score with a run in the eighth.
- The home team won it with a run in the 10th.
- Graduate student Courtney Greene tallied three hits, and senior Amanda King recorded two hits.
- In the circle, King threw 9.2 innings gave up two runs, on five hits, and struck out five.
Game Two: Molloy 1, D'Youville 4
- Greene hit an RBI single in the top of the first to make it 1-0 Lions.
- The Saints plated two runs in the bottom of the inning.
- The home team added two runs in the second inning.
- Junior Steph Conrade registered three hits.
- Greene fanned four batters in six innings pitched.
