Box Score Flushing, N.Y. – The Molloy baseball team topped the Queens College Knights, 8-5, Friday afternoon at Hennekens Stadium. The Lions improved to 29-11 overall and 14-2 in ECC play, while the Knights fell to 21-12 overall and 13-3 in league play.

- Graduate student Peter Theodorellis hit an RBI single to center field in the third to put Molloy up 1-0.
- Queens evened the score, 1-1, in the bottom of the frame.
- The Knights scored twice in the fifth to take a 3-1 advantage.
- Theodorellis hit a two-RBI single in the sixth to tie the score at three.
- In the seventh, sophomore Garrett Scavelli hit a sac fly to center, which scored redshirt senior Thomas Brady, and graduate student Matt Overton scored on an error to make it 5-3.
- Scavelli walked with the bases loaded in the eighth to increase the lead to 6-3.
- Seniors Vincent Pecora and Robby Keane scored on errors in the ninth to extend the advantage to 8-3.
Top Performances
- Theodorellis tallied four hits and three RBIs.
- Pecora tallied one hit and scored two runs, and Scavelli drove in two runs.
- Junior Charlie Cucchiara threw six innings gave up three runs, on five hits, and struck out two to improve to 7-0 on the season.
- Graduate student Brian Morrisey fanned two batters in three innings pitched for his third save of the year.
