West Haven, Conn. – The Molloy baseball team fell to the New Haven Chargers, 8-3, Wednesday afternoon at Viera Field. The Lions moved to 24-11, while the Chargers fell to 18-14.

How it Happened  

• New Haven took a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
• The home team increase its advantage to 3-0 in the fifth.
• The Lions evened the score, 3-3, with three runs in the top of the seventh. Senior Vincent Pecora ground out, which brought home senior Patrick Hoffman, and redshirt senior Thomas Brady hit a two-RBI single to center field.
• The Chargers scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Top Performances

• Brady recorded two hits and drove in two runs.
• Senior Matt Overton registered his 200^th career hit.
