Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's lacrosse team fell to the #4 Adelphi Panthers, 12-8, Tuesday evening at John A. Darcy Field. The Lions moved to 5-8 overall, while the Panthers improved to 10-0.

How it Happened

• Graduate student Jack Egan and sophomore Brendan McDonough scored for Molloy to make it 2-0.
• After the Panthers evened the score at two, freshmen Bryan Diliberto and Robert Gazzano found the back of the net to start the second quarter and gave the Lions a 4-2 advantage.
• Adelphi netted the final three goals of the half and led 5-4 at the break.
• The away team opened the third frame on a 5-1 run to increase its advantage to 10-5 at the end of the third.  
• Diliberto tallied two goals and Egan added another to make it a 10-8 contest with 7:45 left, but that was as close as the maroon and white would get.

Top Performances

• Diliberto lead the team with four points (three goals and one assist).
• Egan netted two goals.
• Junior Edward McCann IV caused two turnovers and picked up four ground balls, and sophomore Liam Linden recorded two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
• Freshman Christian Michaels made 15 saves.
