Rutherford, N.J. – The Molloy baseball team defeated the Felician Golden Falcons, 14-4, Tuesday afternoon at Overpeck County Park. The Lions improved to 17-5, while the Golden Falcons fell to 7-12.
How it Happened
- Felician scored two runs in the second to take a 2-0 lead.
- Sophomore Garrett Scavelli hit an RBI double to cut the advantage to 2-1 in the third.
- The Lions used an eight-run fourth inning to go ahead 9-2. Redshirt senior Thomas Brady tied the game with an RBI single. Senior Robby Keane came home on a wild pitch to give Molloy the lead, 3-2. Scavelli walked and junior David Franchi was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Senior Patrick Hoffman grounded into a fielder's choice, which scored graduate student Matt Overton, and sophomore Chris Einemann and Keane concluded the rally with RBI singles.
