West Haven, Conn – The Molloy women's lacrosse team fell to the #18 New Haven Chargers, 21-12, Thursday evening at Kathy Zolad Stadium. The Lions moved to 5-5, while the Chargers improved to 5-1.
How it Happened
- Junior Amanda Weber, freshman Alexa Amorison, and senior Abbie Bellport scored to give the Lions an early 3-1 advantage.
- New Haven scored the final three goals of the frame and led 4-3 at the end of the first.
- Junior Haille Ross opened the second stanza with a goal to even the score, 4-4.
- After UNH went up 5-4, Weber found the back of the net to make it 5-5.
- Down 7-5, Weber and Amorison tallied goals to tie the score at seven.
- The home team led 9-7 at the half.
- Weber scored in the beginning of the third quarter to cut the Chargers' lead to 9-8.
- After three consecutive goals from New Haven, Weber and freshman Sofia Quitoni tallied goals to shrink the advantage to 12-10.

- UNH outscored the Lions 7-2 in the final quarter en route to a 21-12 win.

- Weber tallied a team-high six points (four goals and two assists).
- Amorison recorded four points (three goals and one assist), and Ross added two goals.
- Sophomore Ryan Smith caused three turnovers, and freshman Reilly Brady caused two turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
- Sophomore Mary-Kate Sweeney made 11 saves.
