Winter Haven, Fl. – The Molloy softball team topped the Saint Michael's Purple Knights, 3-0, Monday morning at the Diamondplex. The Lions improved to 3-4 overall, while the Purple Knights' fell to 1-5.

How it Happened

• Graduate student Courtney Greene hit a single, and sophomore Katie Hand scored on an error to put Molloy up 1-0 in the first.
• The Lions tallied another run in the fourth. Junior Steph Conrade scored on an error, which increased the advantage to 2-0.
• Freshman Amanda Cerretani came home on an error in the seventh to make it 3-0.

Top Performances

• Courtney Greene threw a complete game shutout, gave up one hit, and struck out nine batters to improve to 2-2. The graduate student recorded two hits.
• Hand collected two hits, and freshman Natalie Moussa, juniors Akemi Poyer, Emma Bachman, and Conrade registered one hit apiece.
