Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team defeated the CSI Dolphins, 64-39, Saturday afternoon at Quealy Gymnasium. The Lions improved to 10-8 overall and 7-4 in ECC play, while the Dolphins fell to 5-14 overall and 3-8 in conference play.

How it Happened

• With the score 5-4, the Lions went on an 8-0 run, sparked by four points from freshman Janel Moore, to extend the lead to 13-4.
• Molloy led 13-10 after the first quarter.
• The maroon and white outscored the Dolphins 13-10 in the second frame and led 26-20 at the half.
• Ahead 37-34, the Lions went on an 11-3 rally and led 48-37 at the end of 30 minutes of play.
• The home team outscored CSI 16-2 in the final frame en route to a 64-39 victory.

Top Performances

• Senior Gabriella Aspuru and graduate student Safiyyah Lee tallied 12 points and five rebounds each.
• Sophomore Trinity Hudson recorded a double-double (11 points and 15 rebounds).
• Graduate student Maya Thomas and junior Cameron Corbett added 10 points apiece.
