Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Molloy baseball team topped the Wilmington Wildcats, 10-5, Saturday at the Ripken Experience. The Lions improved to 3-3, while the Wildcats fell to 2-1.
 
How it Happened

• Redshirt senior Thomas Brady hit a two-run home run in the top of the first.
• The Wildcats scored one run in the bottom of the frame to make it 2-1.
• The Lions plated four runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 6-1. Sophomore Chris Einemann hit a two-RBI single, and graduate students Peter Theodorellis and Matt Overton hit RBI singles.
• Wilmington scored a run in the bottom of the fourth.
• Senior Chris Peralta hit a solo home run in the fifth to extent the lead to 7-2.
• In the eighth, Theodorellis drove in one run with a double, and Overton hit a two-RBI double to make it 10-4.

Top Performances

• Overton tallied three hits and drove in three runs.
• Theodorellis (two hits and two runs), Brady (one hit and one run), and Einemann (one hit and one run) tallied two RBIs apiece.
• Graduate student Mike Andreoli pitched 6.1 inning and fanned five batters to improved to 1-1.
