Greenville, Tenn. – The #22 Molloy baseball team fell to the Tusculum Pioneers, 6-5 and 14-0, Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Park.  The Lions moved to 0-2, while the Pioneers moved to 6-3.

Game One: Molloy 5, Tusculum 6

• Sophomore Matt Yip put the maroon and white ahead 2-0 with an RBI double to right center in the first.
• The Pioneers tied the score with two runs in the fourth.
• Redshirt senior Thomas Brady put the Lions ahead, 3-2, with an RBI double in the fifth.
• The home team evened the score, 3-3, in the bottom half of the inning.
• Senior Peter Theodorellis, who tallied three hits, hit an RBI single in sixth, and graduate student Jake McCarthy hit a solo home run in the seventh to put the maroon and white ahead 5-3.
• Tusculum tallied two runs in the eighth and one run in the ninth to take a 6-5 advantage.
• In the ninth, Theodorellis started the ninth with a single. Senior Vincent Pecora pinch ran and stole second and reached third on an error, but the Lions weren't able to tie the score.

Game Two: Molloy 0, Tusculum 14

• The Pioneers scored four runs in second, three in the third, two in the fourth, and five in the fifth.
• Theodorellis, Brady, graduate student Matt Overton, senior David Franchi, sophomores Chris Einemann, and Anthony Manisero all recorded a hit.
