Williamsille, N.Y. - The women's tennis team faced Daemen University yesterday evening at the Miller Tennis Center, falling 5-2 to sit at 0-8 on the season and 0-4 in league play. Daemen improved to 3-5 (2-3 ECC).
Sophomore
Noor Goyvaerts and junior
Hannah Niggemeier picked up a win at first doubles, 7-6, over Frida Rubio and Kitsa Scime, but the Wildcats were able to sweep second and third doubles, both by a score of 6-2, to take the point.
Niggemeier went undefeated on the match, winning her singles contest over Yinetti Del Leon 6-3, 6-2.Â
Sophomore
Amanda Oppedisano also tallied her first collegiate win in singles, topping Ailish McDevitt 6-2, 6-1.Â
The Lions will wrap up the 2022 campaign this afternoon at D'Youville at 1:00 p.m. from Buffalo, N.Y.
