Rockville Centre, N.Y. – The Molloy men's soccer team suffered its first home loss of the season Wednesday evening, falling to the Marauders of Millersville University, 2-0, at John A. Darcy Field. Molloy falls to 7-3-6 with the loss, while Millersville improved to 9-3-4.
 
How it Happened

• The opening 10 minutes belonged to the defense, as neither backline allowed an opportunity.
• Millersville midfilder Bob Hennessey created two chances, his first chance was denied by graduate goalkeeper Nick Conklu in the 15^th minute, and his second shot rang off the crossbar in the 18^th minute.
• Molloy countered with a chance of its own, when freshman Michael Hoffman blasted a left-footed shot that was saved by Millersville goalkeeper Travis Holiday in the 21^st minute.
• 30 seconds later following a corner kick, freshman Adam Lesniewski had his header attempt saved.
• After getting by four defenders with nifty ball handling, junior Danny Muir fired his shot from distance that was saved in the 25^th minute.
• Conklu was tested in the final 20 minutes of the first half but made three saves to keep the contest scoreless heading into halftime.
• The away team had the first opportunity of the second stanza, but Conklu made another save to keep the game, 0-0.
• In the 58^th minute, Hoffman fired his second chance of the evening that was saved to keep the Lions off the scoreboard.
• The Marauders broke through in the 61^st minute, Hennessey found Peter Chol who headed into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
• Five minutes later, Millersville added to its lead to push ahead, 2-0, on a odd man rush opportunity, and would go on to secure the victory, 2-0.
