Buffalo, N.Y. – The Molloy women's basketball team topped the D'Youville Saints, 64-44, Sunday afternoon at the College Center. The Lions improved to 6-7 overall and 3-3 in conference play, while the Saints moved to 7-4 overall and 2-3 in league play.
How it Happened
- Ahead 12-11, the Lions went on a 10-1 run, led by six points from senior Gabriella Aspuru, to go ahead 22-12.
- Molloy led 24-15 at the end of the first stanza.
- The maroon and white outscored the Saints 14-5 in the second frame, led by six points from graduate student Safiyyah Lee, and led 38-20 at the break.
- The Lions led 46-27 at the end of the 30 minutes of play.
- Freshman Danielle Hippner made a pair of free throws to extend the lead to 51-27 en route to a 64-44 victory.

- Lee tallied a game-high 20 points and 13 rebounds.
