Rockville Center, N.Y. - Senior Dana Poetzsch's 65th-minute strike led the Molloy women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over the Georgian Court Lions in their home opener Wednesday evening at John A. Darcy Field. Molloy improved to 3-0 on the season, while Georgian Court fell to 0-3.

• Molloy outshot GCU 25-3 overall and 14-2 in the first half.
• Junior Lexi Verni was denied by GCU goalkeeper Carley Polchak in the 6^th, 7^th, and 25^th minutes.
• In the 28^th minute, Verni had a shot blocked off the line, ensuring the match stayed scoreless at the break.
• Sophomore Brenna Glover went through on goal in the 56^th minute, but her effort was stopped.
• The breakthrough came in the 65th minute, as junior Joanna Graca fed the ball from the right flank into the box for Poetzsch to fire home.
• Sophomore Eleni Sofroniou had two chances denied in the final 15 minutes.
• Molloy improved to 4-1-2 against GCU and extended their winning streak to three games against the Lions.
