Seaford, N.Y. – The field hockey team fell, 6-0, this afternoon at Cedar Creek Park to Saint Michael's College. The loss drops the Lions to 0-4 (0-2 NE10), while the Purple Knights improve to 3-5 (2-3 NE10).
 
How it Happened

• The road team came out of the gates quickly, scoring three goals in the opening quarter.
• Freshman Alexa Denis, put a shot on goal that was saved by the visiting goalkeeper with three minutes to play in the first.
• Freshman Kassandra Sakhat put a shot just wide of the cage with just over 13 minutes to play in the second quarter.
• The Purple Knights would continue the scoring run, adding two more goals to take a 5-0 lead into halftime.
• Both teams battled in the third quarter, but neither could find the back of the net.
• St. Michael's would add the final tally of the game, scoring on a penalty stroke with just over seven minutes to play in regulation.
• Freshman Kelsey Price saw action in her first collegiate game, making four saves.
