Seaford, N.Y. – The field hockey team fell, 2-0, this afternoon at Cedar Creek Park. The loss drops the Lions to 0-3 (0-1 NE10), while the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-1 (2-0 NE10).
 
How it Happened

• The two teams battled in the opening quarter, with sophomore Ally Saigh made two saves to keep the game scoreless.
• With just under twelve minutes left in the second quarter, the maroon and white put together a break away as junior Carly Malico found junior Kyra Dalli who connected with freshman Alexa Denis, who put the shot just wide of the cage.
• The away team broke the seal four minutes later, scoring on a penalty stroke to lead1-0 at the break.
• Freshman Aly Anderson put a shot on goal in the third that was saved by the Yellow Jackets' goal keeper with under two minutes to play in the third quarter.
• AIC would score the final goal of the game with just over 11 minutes left to play in regulation.
• In goal, Saigh made nine saves on 11 shots on goal from the visiting team.
